In Conversation:

How did you get into modelling and at what age?
My father was doing modeling as a hobby, and he got me into it when I was about 5-6 years old. I did a couple of shows for kids' clothing stores. At the age of 13, I did my first cover, and at 16, I went to Paris.
What did your parents think about your new modeling journey? They supported me from the beginning. They did not expect it to be serious and long careere but they supported me from day one

Did you have any dream jobs or other plans before getting into modeling?
Yes, I planned to use modeling as an opportunity to see Paris and London and choose where I want to study: shoe design or psychology.

Do you remember your first modeling job? My first kid modeling job was at a fashion store for a kid line in Belgrade, I was 6, I think. My first "grown-up" job was covering for a teen magazine.

Do you have any favorite designers that you worked with?
I do have favorite designers, and I do have a favorite designer I love to work for.
What was the scariest experience for you as a model? The scariest experience was shooting in Florida among alligators

What’s something you are proud of from your modeling journey? Every time the client booked me for the job for the second, third, or more times, I was the proudest girl in the world.

What is your favorite backstage story from back in the day? I have a lot of great backstage stories from Japan; the dearest is probably the celebration of my 18th birthday after the show. It was a surprise party, and it was very emotional. And I will never forget it. The client organized it. It was the best surprise ever. Even though I was far away from family and friends, they made me feel loved and not alone.

Who’s a model you looked up to?
Hm, I love some girls the way they look or the way they walk, but I never looked up to anyone, I love to be unique

What inspired you to write the book ‘Do You Want to Become a Model’, and what is your favorite part of the book? I got a lot of questions about modeling. How is it, what do you do, how do you get the agency, job, etc? So my idea was to answer all these questions ones for all, and I used my work journals for that. I had fun writing it and remembering and reliving those moments with the time difference. I love to write, and I had so many stories, and I got amazing reviews, so it was worth it.

Most people have heard about your podcast ‘The Fashion Host’ with Vlada Roslyakova; what does the future of the podcast look like? Do you plan on interviewing any of your model friends from the 2000s? The fashion host is my new baby with my dear Vlada, the model, and Ana, who is not from the fashion industry but is still an equal part of the team. The plan is to get amazing guests to share their stories and inspire people who are into fashion.
We also want to be a platform for artists working on images and shows you see, but from behind and are unknown to the public, people who play a big part in the industry. Yes, we are also working on getting girls and friends from our era. Stay tuned, season 2 is coming soon.
